Welcome!
Since most of you are coming here today from Blogs4Bauer, due to Wyatt's reference to my Kim Bauer obsession, I suppose I ought to offer you something to look at along those lines. So, here you go:

Hopefully, she'll be back next week.

If you're bored in the meantime, however, pleas feel free to poke around this blog. My posting has been light of late (just too busy), but later this evening I plan to put up a summary post about the wiretaps issue as I see it, and hopefully I'll be curled up on the couch during a blizzard this weekend, so there should be more then.

In the meantime, I hope I've satisfied your need for a Kim Bauer fix.

Genius.

DAMN!
This just in:

While criticizing Sen. Dianne Feinstein for supporting President Bush's war policies, Cindy Sheehan said Thursday that she won't run against the popular California Democrat because she could be more effective as a vocal anti-war activist.
Yes, because she's been SO effective so far.

Seriously, though, I'm supremely disappointed. It would have been a hoot to watch Feinstein bitchslap her around California, making a fool out of the Democratic Party at the same time.

Did you know?
It's an important day.

And now for something completely different
News of vandalism from Capitol Hill:

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) returned home to Georgia on Sunday from a triumphant weekend at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, where an award-winning documentary about her life premiered.
Her mood quickly soured, however, when she found the front yard of her district home littered with VCR tape in an apparent act of vandalism.

"Obviously, someone wants to send a message that they know where I live and can have access to my front yard to do unkind things," she said in a statement released by her office. (emphasis added)
Or maybe they wanted to send a message that you should spend your time doing your job instead of going to film festivals...

Either way, I'm pretty sure that their message is not that they can do unkind things in your front yard. Honestly, what a weird conclusion to draw.
