Well, now
It seems that Ted Rall has never read any Socrates: "So our guy lost the election. Why shouldn't those of us on the coasts feel superior? We eat better, travel more, dress better, watch cooler movies, earn better salaries, meet more interesting people, listen to better music and know more about what's going on in the world. If you voted for Bush, we accept that we have to share the country with you. We're adjusting to the possibility that there may be more of you than there are of us. But don't demand our respect. You lost it on November 2."

So much for being wise by knowing your ignorance.

Not to be a smart-ass, but Socrates never wrote anything, or at least nothing that has survived. Everything we know about Socrates and his dialogues is through Plato.

You still haven't responded to this:

72 percent who cast votes for George W. Bush, according to a University of Maryland's Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) and Knowledge Networks poll, believe that Iraq (news - web sites) had weapons of mass destruction or active WMD programs. 75 percent think that a Saddam-Al Qaeda link has been proven, and 20 percent say Saddam ordered 9/11. Of course, none of this was true.

Your decision to support Bush was clearly informed. Many people's weren't.

1)Saddam did have active WMD programs. Read a report out of Iraq sometime that isn't censored by the media first, and you'll see that. It is also known that Iraq DID have weapons of mass destruction. I still believe he likely transferred them just before we invaded. BUT either way, to assert that you know the facts and I don't is false. The fact is, no on knows for sure.

2)An Iraq-Al Quaeda connection has been proven. No, Saddam didn't order 9/11, and in fact, has not, to my knowledge, participated in any actions with the terrorist network. But that's immaterial. This was a preemptive war. The fact that Al Quaeda and Saddam were amiable is reason enough for me to take out Saddam before that friendship leads to a joint attack on us.

So, basically, your assertion that "of course, none of this is true" is the uninformed post.

And the reason I've never responded in the past is because you ignore my requests to supply your name. If you really want to challenge me, sign your name, or I will never respond again.
